John Wayne ‘punished’ his D-Day movie producer for publicly insulting him

John Wayne’s casting in The Longest Day, a film about the D-Day landings which took place 81 years ago this week, was incredibly controversial and Duke ended up “punishing” the World War 2 epic’s producer for publicly insulting him.
